Alberto Medina
Love At First Sight
I was anxious and could not wait any longer! Sleek black, glass back with silver lining. Was this really happening or was I in some sort of lucid dream? The Best Buy employee asks me Black or white? without hesitation, I answer black. Yes, it was real I was getting the IPhone 4s. I waited for years but I finally had received the gift that I had been asking for since 3rd grade. When I think back, 3rd grade was pretty young for an IPhone: but that didn’t matter because this was now and nothing was going to ruin this moment. After I had told him I was wanting the black he left for a minute or two and came back with the most extravagant, glistening box ever. I was in awe and it was love at first sight. Many people don’t believe in love at first sight, but boy this was different. The employee opened the box and bam! The most stunning object on earth laid in there, still was a stone yet with millions of expressions. As he activated it, I just stood there apprehensive hoping nothing was wrong with  my IPhone, because it was taking quite long. The line was getting pretty long and I was thinking to myself at that moment Geez could you be any slower?!”. Not only did I want to get my hands on the phone but the lining was getting longer by the minute. As I waited, I made it less awkward by pretending to look at other phone and such. I have to admit, there are some other pretty cool phones out there but they didn’t quite top mine. I came back to where my mom and the employee were, and to my surprise (sarcasm) they were not done yet. Not too long after the guy finally finished and handed me the most precious thing ever which I handled with care as if it were a egg on a spoon. I wasn’t surprised to hear that there was one problem. The connection was not picking up, but that didn’t matter! I finely had what I wanted and had to experiment with everything! I opened safari, YouTube, went to the app store and of course, used Siri! When I was using it I honestly was just content. I will probably always remember this moment because it was a big moment at the time.
